Our subject matter was fruit and we observed light, shape, and tone using a spot light aimed at just one side of our composition. Compressed charcoal was our medium and the children of Haddenham Junior School produced some amazing observational drawings. We then looked at Paul Cezanne’s colourful Still Life paintings before we attempted our own, remembering the importance of light and experimenting in colour mixing!!
